Cookie policy

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site recognise the same browser on the next page or the next visit. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job, and everything said here applies to those too.

What we use them for

Strictly necessary

These make the shop work and cannot be switched off. They remember what is in your basket, keep you signed in, hold your language and country choice, and protect the checkout against fraud. Without them the site cannot function, so they are set whether or not you accept anything else.

Analytics

Where enabled, these tell us which pages are visited and where people leave, so we can fix what is not working. They are set only after you agree.

Marketing

Where enabled, these measure whether an advert led to a visit or an order. They are set only after you agree.

Who sets them

Some cookies are set by this shop. Others are set by services we rely on:

  • Shopify — runs the shop, the basket and the checkout.
  • Our payment provider — processes the card payment and screens it for fraud.
  • Analytics and advertising providers — only where you have agreed to them.

We do not control how third parties use what they collect. Their own privacy notices explain that.

Your choice

You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser, though blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the basket and checkout from working.

Withdrawing consent does not undo anything collected while consent was in place.

How long they last

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Others last from a few days to a couple of years depending on what they do: a basket needs to survive a few days, a fraud check does not.

Changes

When the services we use change, this page changes with them. The date at the top is when it was last revised.
